Well last night was by far one of the worst experiences I've had in a very long time. It all started, well, I'm not really sure what time It took place. I remember I was laying in bed, I'm certain I wasn't sleeping but I was a little dozed off. Then all of a sudden I hear this ridiculously loud screaming noise coming from inside of my head. I felt the inside of my head shake like there was an earthquake in it. The screaming was so loud my heart started to race and I was panicking. My phone was on the other side of me since I was facing my door. My first thought was to grab my phone and call someone since it was an emergency. The weird thing is, I couldn't move my body at all. I tried to turn over and get my phone but nothing on me would move, It was like I was frozen. I don't really know what happened next, I must have have blacked out. When I snapped out of this state it was 5AM on the dot and it was still pitch black outside, I was able to move. I didn't recollect the event during most of the day, but It slowly started coming back to me. I did a lot of research on it and found out the noise part is actually a medical condition called Exploding Head Syndrome. It's caused by extreme stress and fatigue and Sufferers often feel a sense of fear and anxiety after an attack, accompanied by elevated heart rate. As for not being able to move I'm almost certain I was suffering from Sleep Paralysis. All in all it was an awful experience, I thought a ghostly creature of some sort was holding me down, while something was screaming in my head. Considering my room was pitch black at the time didn't help at all. I know I have sleeping issues, sleeping for an hour or two at a time then staying awake for a few days straight. I just didn't realized it was this serious, I'm going to find some medication to fix these problems because I really don't want to go through this again.
